The Locomotive - One Big Thing:
Grateful to Serve Again
I’m honored and humbled to have been reelected to the City Council with 63% of the vote. This result shows that our community believes Chamblee is on the right track and that the progress we’ve made together is worth continuing.
To everyone who voted, hosted events, put up signs, or offered words of encouragement along the way, thank you. Your support means the world to me.
I also want to wish my opponent all the best in his private life. Campaigns come and go, but what truly matters is our shared love for this city.
Now, it’s time to get back to work for Chamblee!
-Jimmy

Citizens Advisory Committee
In the last CAC of the year, we heard the life-saving efforts of CPD's finest. We were proud to recognize Officers Dustin Bulcher, Brandi Boddy, Elvin Kerr, and Roderick Santiago for their quick and heroic actions that saved a life this fall.
On September 30, 2025, Officer Bulcher responded to a medical emergency at the Jiffy Lube on Peachtree Boulevard, where manager Pablo Santiago had collapsed and was unresponsive. Officer Bulcher immediately used his AED and began CPR, soon joined by Officers Boddy, Kerr, and Santiago.
The team worked seamlessly, rotating CPR and following AED prompts until DeKalb Fire and AMR medics arrived. After several rounds of CPR and defibrillation, Mr. Santiago regained a pulse and was transported to Emory St. Joseph for further care.
Because of the quick thinking and teamwork of these officers, Mr. Santiago survived and recovered. Their actions exemplified the dedication and professionalism of the Chamblee Police Department. We congratulated them on receiving the Chamblee Life Saving Award.

We also received a tour of the Real-Time Crime Center, which is still under construction.

Multiple Events
What a Saturday in Chamblee! I had the chance to attend five incredible events across the city, each one showcasing our community spirit.
I started the day at the Chamblee Police Department’s D1 Field Day at Arrow Creek Park. It was great to see families, officers, and neighbors come together for some fun and friendly competition.

Next up was the Keswick Neighborhood Block Party, filled with great food, laughter, and neighbors catching up. From there, I stopped by the Chamblee and Vine relaunch, and it was exciting to see new energy and investment in our local businesses. Congrats on the relaunch!

Later in the afternoon, I swung by City Hall for the Chamblee 3rd Spot game watch, cheering on UGA (by proxy as I'm a Seminole alumnus) as they faced off against UF. What a game!

And to wrap up the day, the Huntley Hills Street Party was the perfect finale with music, community, and plenty of smiles.

Days like this remind me why I am so proud to call Chamblee home. We show up, connect, and celebrate together.

Fall Leaf Collection Reminder
As we prepare for the upcoming leaf collection season, please keep the following in mind to ensure a smooth process:
Do not block leaf piles with vehicles. Cars parked on or too close to leaf piles prevent the collection hose from reaching them.
Avoid double parking on collection days. Double-parked vehicles can prevent our leaf trucks from safely passing down the road.
Notify your contractors. If you have scheduled work at your home on a leaf collection day, please make sure your contractors do not block leaf piles or double park on the street.
Keep trash out of leaf piles. Any leaf piles containing trash must be bagged and have the trash removed before they can be collected.
