The Locomotive - One Big Thing:

Thank You

As this election comes to an end, and my final newsletter before the big day, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible journey it’s been and the many people who made it so meaningful.

To the residents of Chamblee, thank you. The encouragement, kindness, and generosity you’ve shown have been overwhelming. Whether you welcomed me into your home for a conversation, put a sign in your yard, or simply offered a friendly word along the way, your support has meant more than I can say.

The best part of this experience has been meeting so many of you and hearing your stories. I’ve learned what makes Chamblee such a special place, from neighbors who care deeply about their community to families and even pets who make it feel like home. Those connections are what make this all worthwhile.

I also want to thank my friends and family for being my constant source of strength and encouragement. Your belief in me has kept me grounded through it all.

And to my wife, Destinie, thank you for being my calm in the storm. Your patience, love, and support have carried me every step of the way.

No matter the outcome, I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve and to be part of something bigger than myself.

Thank you, Chamblee, from the bottom of my heart.

-Jimmy

Fall Leaf Collection Reminder

As we prepare for the upcoming leaf collection season, please keep the following in mind to ensure a smooth process:

  • Do not block leaf piles with vehicles. Cars parked on or too close to leaf piles prevent the collection hose from reaching them.

  • Avoid double parking on collection days. Double-parked vehicles can prevent our leaf trucks from safely passing down the road.

  • Notify your contractors. If you have scheduled work at your home on a leaf collection day, please make sure your contractors do not block leaf piles or double park on the street.

  • Keep trash out of leaf piles. Any leaf piles containing trash must be bagged and have the trash removed before they can be collected.

Chamblee Cop-N-Stuff Toy Drive

You can help make a child’s holiday wish come true by donating to the Chamblee Cop-N-Stuff 4th Annual “Shop With A Cop” Toy Drive! Donations are accepted from November 1st to December 4th.

Donate new, unwrapped toys to the following locations:

• Chamblee Public Safety Building: 4445 Buford Hwy, Chamblee, GA 30341

Each child will be paired with a Chamblee Police Officer on December 6th and allowed to spend $200 at our local Walmart. Every toy or dollar donated helps bring joy to a local child this holiday season! For more information, contact Catherine Powe at 470-866-1501.
