The Locomotive - One Big Thing:
TownHall Recap
I’m incredibly proud of everything we accomplished in Chamblee this past year. In 2024, we made huge strides across many areas — from sustainability and affordable housing to public safety, parks, and community engagement. We adopted the Chamblee Sustainability Roadmap, moved forward with the City Center Project, completed key infrastructure projects like the 5300 Peachtree sidewalk, and secured funding for Fishbolt Park.
We also passed a Parks Bond with 81% voter approval, added new public art and festivals, and made real progress in public safety — reducing crime by 15% and launching new community-focused police initiatives. On top of that, we improved city communications, upgraded technology, and earned several awards recognizing our efforts to build a stronger, more connected community.
Looking ahead to 2025, I’m excited to continue this momentum and keep working to improve Chamblee for everyone who calls it home. You can read my recap by clicking here.

Lifeline Pet Adoption Awareness Video
I wanted to take a moment to share a great project that recently took place in our community. Alex Booher, a senior at Chamblee High School, reached out to me as part of her Girl Scout project to help support Lifeline Animal Shelter.
Alex was passionate about raising awareness for pet adoptions and approached the City with the idea of creating an educational video to highlight the need for adoptions and to shed light on the overcrowding issues at Lifeline.
I was honored to work with Alex on this project and to help film a video aimed at educating the community about the different ways to support Lifeline—whether through adoption, fostering, volunteering, or donating supplies.
We filmed the video and helped spread the word about Lifeline’s mission. I’m incredibly grateful to Alex for taking the initiative on such an important cause and for inspiring others to get involved.
Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this effort. You can watch the video by clicking on the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6XiOt4rcg8
