Jimmy's Chamblee Recap - Week of September 23

Writer: Jimmy FurstJimmy Furst

Catch up on all things Chamblee!

Due to the hurricane, most events in Chamblee were canceled. I want to thank all those who helped prepare the City for the storm. City Staff worked for 48 hours straight in the effort. Chief Dieppa can be seen in the picture below going over the plans with CPD in preparation.

A big thank you to the Public Works, Public Safety, and the Communications team for all the hours they put in before, during, and after the storm. Also, much gratitude goes to our City Manager, Kristen Gorham, for her leadership during this time.

Luckily, we were spared the worst of the storm, but not all were so fortunate. On Wednesday, October 2, Convoy of Care will be at Chamblee United Methodist, 4147 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Convoy of Care will collect cleaning supplies and tools, large trash bags, paper towels, and personal hygiene products to be distributed in areas hardest hit by Hurricane Helene.

Please consider donating to assist with clean-up efforts.
