Catch up on all things Chamblee!

The Locomotive - One Big Thing:
This past Saturday, I had the incredible opportunity to ride along with one of Chamblee PD’s finest, Officer Sweet. Spending the day alongside her gave me a firsthand look at the dedication and hard work our officers put in to keep our city safe. I’ll be sharing a full blog post soon with highlights from the experience!
Fun fact: Before becoming Chamblee’s Neighborhood Resource Officer, Officer Sweet served as an arson investigator and worked with the Fulton County District Attorney’s office. Talk about experience!

Left the Station - This Past Week's Events:
April 26: Trash Dash
Keep Chamblee Beautiful and the City of Chamblee hosted the 2nd Annual Trash Dash!
Judges weighed and evaluated the trash collected, and awards were handed out to the teams that collected the most trash, the most unique item, and the most reusable item. My team won the most unique item contest: we found a kitten that we brought to Lifeline for care!
Thank you to all who came out to help Keep Chamblee Beautiful!

April 20 - 26: Camblee Art Drop
Wow, Chamblee — you showed up for Art Drop this year! Over just seven days, more than 85 pieces of art were dropped all around the city, and the creativity was off the charts. Finders were glued to the @chamblee_public_arts Instagram page, racking up 20,000+ views as they hunted for clues and tracked down hidden art treasures.
A big shoutout to our amazing sponsors, @plaidcrafts and @prismacolor who helped fuel the fun with drop kits and supplies — you made it even easier for people to jump in and get creative.
We're already counting down the days until we can do it all again next year. Thanks for making Art Drop 2025 one for the books!

April 20 - 26: GA Cities Week
How many events did you make? My favorite was Meet the City and the Mike Veal Band on Wednesday. Thanks to all who came out!
