Writer: Jimmy FurstJimmy Furst

Updated: Aug 5, 2024

This past week’s events:

August 3: Live! On Your Block @ Clairmont Park

It was HOT, but we had a water slide and the King of Pops to cool things off!

August 3: Chamblee Tap and Market Friends and Family Event

I had the opportunity to attend the F&F event, and I thank Dave and Jeff for the invite! They will be open for business this Thursday, August 8. https://chambleetapandmarket.com/

Upcoming events:

August 6: National Night Out @ The Public Safety Building 6 - 9 pm.

August 8: Comprehensive Plan Update Final Meeting from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.

August 6: Amnesty Program

The Chamblee Municipal Court will also conduct its Amnesty Program at National Night Out. Individuals can resolve past-due traffic citations and active bench warrants for failing to appear in court. The court will waive contempt fees for failure to appear for individuals who pay their fines. Individuals with citations that require a mandatory court appearance will have the opportunity to receive a future court date, have warrants cleared, and/or be granted license release forms upon posting a cash bond without the fear of being arrested. Individuals requesting amnesty must bring acceptable forms of identification, such as a driver’s license or passport.

August 9: August Summer Concert Finale @ 6:30 pm.

10,000 Maniacs will close out the Summer Concert Series at City Hall. Get there early to get a good seat! Click on the following link to Know Before You Go.

August 15: City Council Public Hearing & Work Session 6 pm @ City Hall

August 17: Household Hazardous Waste Event from 8 am -12 pm at Plaza Fiesta
